1. Who we are
TripKernow (TripKernow Ltd (placeholder, company not yet formed)) operates a booking website for private driver day trips in Cornwall. TripKernow is a booking agent: we take your booking and payment online, and we arrange for the trip to be carried out by a licensed local taxi operator. TripKernow does not itself provide the transport, and the operator, not TripKernow, is responsible for the driving and the vehicle.
2. Bookings and payment
Prices are shown per car, not per person, and are payable in full at the time of booking. Payment is taken online by card through our payment provider. Once payment is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email with your itinerary and price.
A booking is only confirmed once you have received our confirmation email. We reserve the right to decline or cancel a booking before confirmation, for example if the requested date is unavailable, and to refund any payment taken in that case.
3. Cancellations and changes
Placeholder: free cancellation until [X] days before travel, with a full refund. Cancellations made after this point may not be refundable. This clause is a placeholder for the founder to confirm the final cancellation window and any partial refund terms before launch.
If you wish to change your date, itinerary or pickup details after booking, contact us and we will do our best to accommodate the change, subject to availability.
4. Weather and changes on the day
Cornwall weather can be changeable. If conditions make a planned stop unsafe or impractical, the operator's driver may substitute a nearby alternative or adjust the running order, while keeping to the same total price. We will not cancel a trip for weather alone unless conditions make travel unsafe, in which case we will offer a rebooking or a refund.
5. Liability
Because TripKernow is a booking agent and not the transport operator, our liability to you in connection with a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking. This does not affect the operator's own responsibilities to you as the party providing the journey, and it does not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
6. Your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
